O Gilbert Durinho's question about Leon Edwards' 'will' at UFC 263 continues to give something to talk about. After being beaten by the number three welterweight (up to 77kg.), the Englishman's opponent in the event, Nate diaz, also spoke out against the Niteroiense. On his 'Twitter' account, the 'bad boy' used the space to criticize the Brazilian's statement and took the opportunity to provoke the former challenger for the group's belt.

Gilbert's statement was made to 'Souch China Mornig Post'. At the time, the Brazilian stated that, despite Leon's victory, the Englishman did not deserve a title fight, since, for the Tupiniquim, the performance was not exciting.

Current number three in the ranking led by Kamaru Usman, had a dominant performance over Diaz for almost 25 minutes. The athlete, however, was close to being defeated in the last round, when the North American connected a sequence of punches, which almost led to Leon being knocked out.

Before the confrontation, UFC president Dana White had signaled that the winner would be eligible to challenge the champion, after Colby covington receive the rematch against Usman. It is not yet known what the fate of Edwards will be, who beat Diaz by unanimous decision from the judges.
