Hendricks rules out broken hand and calls for fight against St. Pierre in August

Welterweight title challenger wants title fight as soon as possible

UFC on FOX 3 medical suspensions: 10 suspended indefinitelythe american John hendricks secured the position of challenger for the welterweight belt by defeating Carlos Condit at UFC 158, an event held last Saturday (16). After the tough battle, Hendricks had a suspected fracture in his hand, but the possibility was ruled out by the fighter.

“After the victory against Carlos Condit I was afraid I had broken my left hand, but it seems like there was no fracture. The suspicion is that I dislocated some fingers at the beginning of the fight, and as the fight continued, they returned to their place. This caused me a lot of pain after the fight ended, but now I think I didn't break any bones. I'm going to do x-rays to make sure everything is ok, but I'm pretty sure I didn't break anything”, said Hendricks, in an interview with the North American website “mma mania“. The fighter took advantage of the interview to ask that the duel in front of Georges St Pierre, category champion, be marked as soon as possible.

“I'm hoping the UFC schedules my fight against Georges St-Pierre for August, but I'll say I'll fight anytime, any day and anywhere. I'm very confident about having confirmed my title fight. That really motivated me,” he said.
