Pedro Munhoz believes he can challenge for the bantamweight belt if he beats José Aldo at UFC 265

Brazilian fighter says that a good victory over the former featherweight champion could give him credibility for a title shot in the under-65,7kg group

Despite showing a lot of respect for José Aldo, Peter Munhoz Do you already think about what will happen in the future if you beat your compatriot in the UFC 265. The fighter from São Paulo praised his opponent's history in mixed martial arts but believes he could be able to compete for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg) if he emerges victorious in the confrontation on August 7th.

“It will be a huge fight. I never create much expectation in my fights, I like to focus on doing my best. But I believe a stunning victory over José Aldo will definitely give me great credibility to get a title shot”, said Munhoz in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

“I've always watched your fights, your aggressive style is very similar to mine. Furthermore, he is a very popular person in Brazil so I am also very excited to fight against a legend, such a big name and a good fighter”, declared the Brazilian fighter.
