Jacaré's injury occurred in the first round of the clash against Sergipano. On that occasion, Ronaldo was the victim of an armbar adjusted by his compatriot. The 'jolt' caused by the pressure applied by André was enough to cause the injury, observed closely by the referee of the match, Jacob Montalvo, who didn't even give the legend a chance to withdraw and interrupted the dispute.

The positive result complicated Jacaré's situation within Ultimate once and for all. Beaten by Sergipano, the Espírito Santo team reached their fourth negative result in a row and runs the risk of being added to the organization's feared layoff list.
