“Dustin (in our first fight)”, replied Conor, directly, on 'Twitter'.

McGregor and Dustin's initial meeting with the Ultimate gloves took place more than six years ago. The scenario in question was totally different. At the time, the athletes represented the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg) and were looking for the chance to compete for the category belt.

Against Poirier, at UFC 178, Conor was experiencing one of the most notable moments of his career. Undefeated in the organization and on the rise, the Irishman needed less than two minutes to settle the score against the North American.

Six years later, now at lightweight (up to 70,3kg), revenge came at a gallop. In January 2021, Dustin paid with interest for the defeat he suffered, imposing the first knockout suffered by the 'Notório'.
