Former boxer Acelino ''Popó'' Freitas didn't want to know about the carnival parliamentary recess. The former champion, who is a federal deputy for the state of Bahia, spent the last week in Brasília helping fighter Lúcio Curado, who is competing for the title in the lightweight category of the Jungle Fight.

Excited about his performance, the former world champion is very confident for the confrontation. ''I like Lúcio and I see that he has the profile of an MMA fighter, he will go far. Whenever I can, I do some training and try to focus on standing combat, even though I know he's very good at jiu-jitsu. I will be in Rio, watching your victory”, said Popó.

Lucio knows the importance and weight of counting on Popó's support: ''It's great to train with someone with as much experience and knowledge about the fight as Popó. Whenever he can, he makes a point of coming to my fights. It's an added motivation to have a world champion by my side'', he analyzed.
