The main fight of UFC Las Vegas 24, held this Saturday (17), won the “Fight of the Night” award and with that the two athletes received an extra prize of US$50 thousand (around R$279,5 thousand). The information was released by Ultimate through its advisors.

The main duel marked the consolidation of Robert whittaker as number one in ranking middleweight (up to 83,9kg) and likely next challenger for Israel adesanya. The New Zealander won Kelvin Gastelum calmly, after five rounds of dominance. Replacing Paulo borrachinha, Rafael Cordeiro's pupil showed desire and was a warrior, but was unable to stop the former category leader.

The athletes from the preliminary card Gerald Meerchaerst and Tony Gravely. The first won the duel against Bartosz Fabisnki by submission in the first round. Gravely, on the other hand, knocked out veteran Anthony Birchak in the second round, in the fight that opened the preliminary card of the event.
