To qualify for the semifinals, the fighter had to get past Yagshimuradov, who made his debut in the organization. During the fight, Corey was thrown off balance by a high kick from the Turkmen, but he used strategy and took the fight to the ground. With an advantage, he threw hard elbows at his opponent until the referee stopped him in the third round.

Professional since 2013, Corey anderson surprised by breaking his contract with Ultimate and then signing to wear Bellator gloves. In the franchise, the American has two victories over Melvin Manhoef and Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov himself. Currently, there are 15 triumphs and five setbacks as a professional.
