AJ McKee praises Patrício Pitbull, but says he is confident for the end of the Bellator GP: 'I will be champion'

Considered one of the biggest promises of the event, the North American says he is betting on his strength to beat the Brazilian

Qualified for the final of Grand Prix featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), the undefeated A. J. McKee is excited about the possibility of becoming Bellator champion. The North American, who saw the victory of Patrick Pitbull about Emmanuel sanchez by a guillotine last Friday (2), made a point of praising the Brazilian for his career, but highlights that the 'new era' is about to begin.

"Patrick Pitbull He went there and just did his job, you know? Nothing happened that impressed me. He shook Emmanuel sanchez and saw an opportunity to finish. Pitbull has been the man and I have nothing against him. But I already said I will be champion. It's the new era. Is he saying my time is up? Not yet cage, the two had a tense confrontation to promote the next fight. Now close to fighting for the title, the American reveals that he is excited about the fight and thinks he can have an advantage due to his size.

“It’s a fight that fans have been wanting for a long time. Plus, he's underrated, you know? He's a notable champion, for beating (Michael) Chandler. His accolades, his credentials, and his track record are phenomenal. But at the end of the day, no one has a win over me. Now (that) he is also in the finals, I can evaluate what I will do in the fight. There's no way he can get close to me from my reach. If he goes out there and fights like he fought against Emmanuel sanchez, I promise he won’t come near me”, concluded the American.
