One of the greatest legends in the history of jiu-jitsu, Gabi Garcia will face an unprecedented challenge in her career. The Brazilian will have an intergender grappling duel against Australian Craig Jones. The fight will be on March 28th, for the event 'WNO'(Who's Number One), in Los Angeles (USA). The athletes made the confrontation official on their accounts on 'Instagram'.

According to the rules stipulated by the event, the fight will have no time or score limit. The duel will only end when one of the two athletes is finished.
“Yes, it's official. Sunday, on my mat, against Craig Jones. We’re not kidding,” wrote Gabi Garcia on social media.
The Australian also spoke about the controversial encounter in his 'Instagram' and assured that he will retire from the mats if he is defeated by Gabi.
“I'm flying to Los Angeles to face Gabi Garcia. We'll hold an open-ended duel at your gym and broadcast it for free. The fight will happen with 100% certainty. I hope everything goes well for me. If this is not the case and I lose, I will retire from the mats,” Jones wrote.
At 35 years old, Gabi Garcia has nine world titles and four 'ADCC', the biggest grappling event in the world. The Brazilian debuted in MMA in 2015 and has an undefeated record with six victories, all by knockout or submission.
Despite never having achieved significant results in major jiu-jitsu competitions, Craig Jones is known for his submissions attacking his opponents' legs. At 29 years old, the Australian is known for his participation in the main grappling tournaments.
