In the fight against Yan, in the fight for the bantamweight title, Aljamain had good and bad moments. In the initial rounds, the challenger managed to put pressure on the then champion. However, Petr recovered and dominated the contest until the fourth round.

The tragic moment for the Russian, however, came in a scenario that was favorable to Yan. The fighter, however, threw a powerful knee at his rival when Aljamain was in a vulnerable position, which did not allow the attack.
