IMPRESSIVE: Fighter has dislocated nose, but ends fight looking 'normal' at UFC 258

The great highlight of UFC 258 was the defense of the belt Kamaru Usman  against the Brazilian Gilbert Durinho, but an unusual moment caught the attention of fans right on the preliminary card. In the third fight of the event, Andrew Ewell connected a overhand em Chris Gutierrez. The blow didn't land squarely, but it bent the fighter's nose (see the image below).

Gutierrez seemed uncomfortable with the blow in the first round, despite landing a dangerous blow at the end of the round. The most impressive thing, however, is that the fighter's team put the nose back in place during the break before the second round.

During the minute of rest, and after the 'intervention', one of the coaches even warned Gutierrez: 'don't breathe through your nose'.

The technician's warning appears to have worked. Gutierrez returned to the fight with his nose in place and dominated Andrew Ewell. In the end, he won the fight with a unanimous decision from the judges (30-26, 29-28, 29-27).

After the official announcement of Chris's victory, the athlete celebrated, still in the octagon, with the traditional photo with his team. In the images (see below), it is possible to see that the initial trauma was, in fact, overcome by the assistants.

In addition to overcoming great adversity in the confrontation against Ewell, Chris confirmed his good phase in Ultimate. Even though he tied the last match before the UFC 258, the fighter had five fights without defeat in the organization.
