Considered by many to be the best fighter of all time, Amanda nunes intends to continue his reign inside the Octagon. Depending on her trainer, Conan Silveira, the 'Lioness' will become even more fierce after the birth of her daughter, Raegan. “The child brings us, in general, another birth. We are born together. In our privacy I see this, the 'Lioness' now has a cub, she is even more dangerous. Raegan brought her motivation, she wants to do more. And that is certainly a positive point,” said Conan.

Born in September 2020, Raegan is the daughter of Nunes and her partner – and also an Ultimate fighter – Nina ansaroff. Even with a larger family, Silveira says that the Bahian's preparation remains strong, as she has done since she won her first title with the organization, in 2016.

“Amanda’s training, since she won the Miesha Tate and got his first belt, it's always been for five rounds. It's not a question of being champion, but nowadays the margin for error should be zero. So, you need to look at everything very seriously. When she goes to fight and defend her title, she enters a frequency that becomes her trademark, she maps out and knows how to do exactly what is going to be done,” she said.

Although he places the necessary trust in his pupil, Conan does not belittle Amanda's next opponent. For the coach, Megan, who is a former Invicta FC champion, deserves to be treated with the respect of an elite athlete.

“Megan, like every opponent, deserves respect and it’s an important fight. She has a big wingspan, she can use that, it would be what she should use against Amanda. She has a lot of talent, and she wouldn't fight for the belt if she wasn't among the best. MMA fighting is unpredictable, because where you hit, you hurt, so we have to be well prepared and avoid that,” she concluded.

Against the Australian, Amanda will make her second defense of the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg), won over Chris Cyborg, in 2018. In addition to being the leader in the division, Nunes also holds the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.), where she has led since 2016.
