The definitive conversation between UFC president Dana White and the star Khabib Nurmagomedov takes place this Friday (15). The 'big boss' recorded the meeting with the current lightweight champion, in Abu Dhabi, during UAE Warriors 15. The president's idea is to convince the Russian to give up the idea of retiring.

Close to definitive meeting with Khabib, Dana says: 'Conversation will last five minutes'

In the images (see below), it is possible to see Dana and Khabib heading to a room where they would talk alone. First to enter the place, White closes the door and, there, he will seal his pupil's future.

Khabib, on social media, also recorded the meeting with his boss. The athlete released images of Dana sitting in an armchair right in front of him.

The outcome of the conversation should be announced soon by the UFC boss.

Khabib 'soap opera'

Known as one of the best fighters of all time, Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from MMA in October of last season. At the time, the Russian had just beaten Justin gaethje, UFC 254, and the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.) was unified.

Still in the octagon, very emotional, Khabib began to take off his gloves – a tradition for fighters who decide to retire from the sport. In his speech, the fighter confirmed the suspicion and made it official that he would leave the sport after that day.

The main motivation for Khabib's decision was the loss of his father, coach and mentor, Abdulmanap Nurmagmoedov, who died in July due to complications from Covid-19. Without his main supporter and person most responsible for his success in combat sports, the 'Eagle' said he made a promise to his mother that she would not compete again.

At the press conference after the UFC 254, Dana stated that he would give the athlete space to recover psychologically. The president, however, always remained optimistic about the return of one of his biggest stars.
