The former light heavyweight champions (up to 92,9 kg.), Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier they continue with the same rivalry as in the past, even if they have taken different paths. After two fights and six years since his first victory, 'Bones' remembered the triumph and poked fun at his main arch-rival on his personal Twitter account. In the post, he also mentioned the current heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg.), Stipe Miocic, who defeated DC in two of three matches.
“On this day, I created a hatred forever. (…) Stipe (Miocic) is your rival, I am superior”, said Jones.

Officially, Jon Jones only takes an official victory over Daniel Cormier on your resume. In January 2015, at UFC 182, he defeated his compatriot in a unanimous decision by the judges.
At UFC 214, in July 2017, 'Bones' knocked out 'DC', but the fight was declared 'no result', after the North American failed his drug test. At the time, he lost the category belt and was away for a year and four months.
Currently, Daniel Cormier serves as a commentator for ESPN on Ultimate broadcasts, while Jon Jones is preparing for his heavyweight debut, which should take place in 2021 against the winner of 'Miocic x Ngannou'.
