Cain Velazquez did more than regain the heavyweight belt at UFC 155, he set a new, and impressive, record. The North American hit the Brazilian junior gypsy 111 times in the fight held last Saturday, according to data from the specialized website FightMetric.
Interestingly, the mark was broken practically a year after the old record was set. On December 30, 2011, North American Jimy Hettes hit his compatriot Nam Phan 81 times in the first fight on the UFC 141 preliminary card. The rematch between Cigano and Velasquez took place on December 29, 2012, exactly 365 days later – the difference of one day is due to the current year being a leap year.
The numbers prove Velasquez's superiority in combat, which earned him the belt he lost to the Brazilian himself junior gypsy just over a year ago. After the five rounds, the three judges were unanimous in declaring him the winner and gave the following scores: 50-45, 50-43 and 50-44.

So credits to the gypsy, because ending the fight taking so many blows makes Cain a weak guy, as he lost the previous fight with just one blow!!!
With all these punches Cain was unable to knock out Cigano, and at the beginning of the fight what I saw was Cigano just escaping Cain's takedown attempts, he escaped and didn't go up to strike, he just ran away. I believe that if Cigano comes with a new stance and goes for it, which he didn't, he will win easily, because with all his superiority he held on and wasn't knocked out or submitted.
the joke I've ever seen in my life. Once again, a Brazilian has chickened out and sold himself to these damn Americans. There is a lack of manhood in Brazilian women. The fight is very easy for this gypsy. But he wants to get up, if he wants, he doesn't throw any punches. It simply sold for eight hundred thousand reais. It's unbelievable how cowardly Brazilians are in the face of American money. Rubens is wearing flip-flops. felpe rotten mass and now the dirty gypsy, the name already says gypsy.
This gypsy is pitiful. So imagine if he catches Frank Mir… afe fo. / see
This kick, caught in the neck, could have disabled Cigano forever, if caught in the neck. Cigano's technicians made a terrible strategy and to top off their incompetence they almost lost the fighter forever... Cigano took twenty blows to the head in the first round after the fall, the judge and Cigano's trainers should have stopped the fight, Cigano clearly fought with a knockout... Shame on them for letting the fighter be insulted like that
I'm disappointed with Cigano. The technical and professional inferiority was so great that I had two feelings: fear that the gypsy might die and other people's shame.
Velasque fought practically alone…The gypsy was groggy or drunk, he didn't react, it was as if he hadn't been fighting, that's horrible.
Cigano didn't actually fight, he was just a sparring partner for Cain.
