Brazilian follows plan to face the best UFC athletes to consolidate himself in the company's history; Pará makes its first title defense this Saturday

Current champion in flyweight (up to 56,7kg.), Deiveson Figueiredo He doesn't care about an easy life in his reign. With a fight this Saturday (21), at UFC 255, when he makes his first title defense in the clash against Alex Perez, the 'God of War' already has plans for the continuation of his career. In a press conference, with the participation of SUPER FIGHTS, the Brazilian revealed his desire to face two former champions of the company and further cement his name as one of the best in the company.

“(Cody) Garbrandt and (Henry) Cejudo are the guys I’m interested in facing. I am available to Dana (White). Whenever he wants to finish the fight, I'm available to put on that show”, stated the 'God of War'.

Before being placed face to face with two big names in the recent history of Ultimate, Figueiredo must go through his commitment this weekend. Analyzing his opponent on Saturday, the man from Pará showed respect, but confidence for a great result in his first title defense.

“No fight is easy. Every fight is dangerous, we cannot underestimate anyone. I always train to fight against the best and, on Saturday, I'm going to make the fight easy for me”, said the 'God of War'.

PUBLICITY:

Initially, in the UFC 255, Deiveson would face the former champion in bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.), cody garbrandt. The American, however, ended up getting injured and left the event, being promptly replaced by Perez. Against his new rival, Figueiredo, in addition to the title, will defend an undefeated streak of four fights.
