Ultimate confirms fight between Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar for January 16th

Ultimate has defined the main fight of its first event of 2021. The company has made official the important fight valid for featherweight (65,8kg), between Max Holloway e Calvin kattar for January 16th, at UFC 258. There are no details yet about the location of the attraction. The information was released by the company itself.

Holloway, 28, will look to get back on track after losing the featherweight belt to Alexander Volkanovsky and be surpassed by him in the rematch. In the last three fights, the former champion only won once, against the veteran Frankie Edgar. Even with the poor results, 'Blessed' is still in first place in the category ranking, below only its tormentor.

On the other hand, Kattar, 32 years old, is going through a great phase. Currently, 'The Boston Finisher' is sixth in the rankings and comes from two consecutive victories, over Dan Ige e Jeremy Stephens. In the last five fights, Kattar has won four and is going through his best phase in the UFC.

In addition to relying on Max Holloway x Calvin kattar in the main fight, the event will also feature the welterweight (77,6kg) Santiago Ponzinibbio against muslim salikhov and heavy (120,2kg) Carlos Boi against justin tafa.
