The Brazilian, who is scheduled to face the North American Dan Henderson at UFC 157, an event that takes place on February 23, in Anaheim, California, he does not want to miss the opportunity to regain the title that was once his and will be training outside of Brazil.
In an interview with the MMA Hour program, which airs on AOL in the United States, Machida revealed that he will improve his wrestling, one of his opponent's main weapons.
“I'm very happy with this idea of fighting with the Dan Henderson, who is a great example of a fighter for me. It's another challenge. If I have to fight for the belt, I have to win this fight and show why I deserve it”, said the Brazilian, who will count on the help of Glover Teixeira in preparation.
“I was already training with Kenny Johnson, my wrestling coach. But Glover Teixeira will be with me soon to help with my preparation”, he added.
