Injuries continue to change the UFC's planning. This time, edition number 255, which will take place on November 21st, in the USA, lost a very interesting fight in the eyes of the fans. Robbie Lawler was injured and is out of combat against Mike Perry. The person who announced the news was the former welterweight champion's own opponent (77,6kg) and the information was then confirmed by the North American website MMA fighting.

It is not yet known what injury took 'Ruthless' out of action, nor how long he will be out, but Perry is the one who doesn't want to sit still. Without wasting time, the bad boy took the opportunity to challenge Khamzat Shimaev and agrees to face him even at middleweight (83,9kg)

Despite the show of courage by Perry, who was one of the few athletes to challenge Chimaev, his request is unlikely to be granted. Recently, the UFC itself confirmed the duel between its biggest promise against Leon edwards, number three in the welterweight rankings, for December 19th.

Even without Lawler and Chimaev, the tendency is for Perry to be kept on the card. The athlete has already confirmed that he wants to fight to continue his recovery in the category. His last appearance was in June 2020, when he won Mickey gall, ending the streak of two consecutive defeats.
