What happened is usually in the past, but Khabib Nurmagomedov does not agree with the motto, nor is he willing to forget what happened between him and Conor McGregor. Knowing the rivalry that the duo has and which generated regrettable scenes when they faced each other in 2018, the UFC does not rule out the possibility of holding a second fight and considered casting the Russian and the Irishman as coaches for the 29th edition of TUF, but the idea did not went ahead because of the lightweight champion (70,3kg).

In interview with ESPN American, Khabib informed that he has no intention of interacting with the Irishman again, nor of giving his enemy the attention he so enjoys and would refuse big offers to get rid of him. 'The Eagle' also highlighted that other fighters worry him more than the former number one in the category.

“If I did a TUF with McGregor it would be good for him and I don't want to do it for him. Never, not even if the UFC offered me five billion dollars, not even if Dana offered me the UFC itself. I will never do that! Our story ended on October 6, 2018. That was the date I ended everything involving McGregor. I have new challenges. I faced Poirier and now it's Gaethje's turn. We’ll see who’s next, but I don’t think it will be McGregor,” said Nurmagomedov.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is irreducible when the subject is Conor McGregor. Even though he won the first fight by submission, the rematch continues to attract the public, but, as the rival made a trash talk attacking his family, country and religion, he and his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, are willing to keep that door closed . It is worth remembering that, after the confrontation, the atmosphere was so heavy that there was widespread confusion.
