If even retired Nick Diaz he had the power to move the MMA community, after posting a training session and considering his return to the sport, there was nothing else to talk about. And it's not just the specialized press that is interested in the bad boy's return after five years away. Some top fighters have expressed a desire to fight Nate's older brother. They are: the welterweight (77kg), Stephen Thompson, the medium (84kg), Darren till and Dan Hardy, former wrestler.
See too
I'm down to welcome him back to the ranks! Would be an honor….let's see where he's at! 👊🏼🙏🏻

“I accept to welcome Nick Diaz back to the rankings. It would be an honor. We’ll see how it goes,” Thompson posted.
If @ nickdiaz209 wants to come back & scrap, who's the biggest star, fight & best fight for him outside the Middleweight champ.? Fucking me that's who… 🦍

"I know Nick Diaz If he wants to fight again, who is the biggest star and best fight for him, apart from the middleweight champion? Obviously it’s me,” said Till.
Sounds like a good scrap. 😏🏴☠️
- Dan Hardy (@danhardymma) September 7, 2020
“It looks like a good fight,” said Hardy.
Leon edwards also wants to fight Diaz and, to the North American website Submission Radio, he tried to convince the veteran, presenting his credentials and he has no doubt that he would win.
“This fight looks fantastic. Nick is a big name in the sport, he has been fighting for a long time and he will be the same as always. It would be better for him to fight me. If Nick beats a guy like me who has won eight in a row, that would put him close to a title shot. It would be incredible for him to beat a new generation fighter, who is dominating and beating others. He'll never beat me, but it would be interesting. I want this fight!” said Edwards.
Nick Diaz, 37 years old, is an MMA veteran, one of the most popular athletes among fans of the sport and has performed in three different weight categories (lightweight, welterweight and middleweight). The fighter was seen at Pride FC, was the welterweight champion (77kg) of Strikeforce, WEC and even fought for the interim and linear belt of the UFC division, being defeated by Carlos Condit and Georges St-Pierre, respectively. His last fight took place in 2015, against Anderson Silva, in which both fell victim to doping.
