End of the mystery. After months of waiting, it's official. Mike Tyson will return to the ring at the age of 54 and will face multi-time boxing champion, Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition match, scheduled for September 12, at the Dignity Health Sports Arena, in Los Angeles (USA). The information was confirmed by Jones on his official Instagram account.

On social media, Roy recorded the moment he and Tyson signed the contract for the fight and also released the poster of the fight that proves the clash between the two boxing legends.
“I'm happy that this fight between me and Mike Tyson will happen. I have always been prepared and I will be ready this time too. I want all my fans to support me and get in on this. It will be epic,” Jones Jr. wrote.
At the beginning of the year, Tyson shook the internet and fans by releasing training images, which signaled a return to the ring after more than 15 years away from boxing. Considered one of the biggest names in the history of the sport, Mike gained worldwide fame for his aggressiveness and ability to knock out his opponents.
Former world champion for the WBA, WBC and IBF, the athlete experienced his peak in the late 80s and mid-90s. With controversies accumulated outside the ring, the North American star saw his career decline and retired from the sport in June 2005, when he was defeated by Kevin McBride.
While Mike needs no introduction, Roy also has a successful career within the boxing world. Former middleweight and super middleweight world champion, Jones Jr. has not acted professionally since February 2018. Known for the irreverent and provocative way in which he conducts his fights, the 51-year-old athlete has 75 fights, with 66 wins and nine losses.
Roy became known in Brazil after being challenged by MMA legend, Anderson Silva, a few years ago. At the time, 'Spider' believed that the combination of styles could provide martial arts fans with a great spectacle. The duel, however, never got off the ground.
