Former challenger for the bantamweight belt (up to 62,1kg.), Marlon moraes continues trying to make an Ultimate fight official. Without playing since the victory over José Aldo, in December last year, the Friburgo native once again challenged the former champions of the division, Dominick Cruz e cody garbrandt for a confrontation. The Brazilian took the opportunity to criticize his rivals, stating that they are 'running away' from the duel.

“I'm not the best at making excuses. I was taught to always accept challenges. Get in that ring (octagon) and fight. Enough. The truth has to be told. We have fights, but these guys are running away. AND, cody garbrandt, you have the fastest hands in the UFC and much more. Why are you saying No? Dominick Cruz, you are the best bantamweight of all time. Why are you running?” Marlon wrote on his Instagram account.
Currently in first place in the division's ranking, Moraes has been trying, since the beginning of 2020, to return to active duty. After seeing the UFC make its last opponent official, José Aldo, be selected to fight for the vacant title of the category against Petr yan, the Brazilian is now looking for two big names to regain his status as a challenger for the belt.
"I am wrong? Would you watch these fights?”, he concluded.
Marlon, today, is 32 years old and has a winning record, with 23 triumphs, six setbacks and one draw. His last negative result came in June last year, when he was beaten by Henry Cejudo in a commitment that represented the dispute for the category title, which was vacant at the time.
