Without fighting since March of this year, when he crashed Randa markos in one of the fights UFC Brasilia, Amanda knows she won't have an easy compromise against VanZant. The North American hasn't performed in over a year, however, the Brazilian recognizes that she will be facing a dangerous opponent.

“I don’t think she’s famous for nothing. She scored a nice knockout (against Bec Rawlings, in August 2016). She also has submission wins. Her fights are always very fast. I need to be careful against her. Her last fight took place at the beginning of 2019, but I don’t think it will be a problem for her,” explained the Minas Gerais native.

“I would have fought her between straws, but I'm not sure why the UFC offered me the fight between the flies. I accepted. It's not my usual category, but I wanted to test myself. I want to see how I do moving up the division. I don't like to get too comfortable. I like to test myself,” she concluded.
