One of the protagonists of one of the most exciting clashes of 2020, Dan Hooker manifested itself after the defeat suffered by Dustin poirier, last Saturday (27), at UFC Las Vegas 4. With his face badly bruised, the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) thanked the fans for their support and congratulated the North American on his triumph in the main fight.

“A quick message to the people who support me. Poirier was better on the night. No regrets, no excuses. Little setbacks don’t matter,” Hooker wrote on his Instagram account.

In the main fight of this weekend's event, Dustin and Hooker fulfilled what the match script promised. With two of the best athletes in the division facing each other, the fighters exchanged strength during five rounds with intensity and technique.

“I just got back to the hotel. I was in the hospital and everything is fine. Just a few points in the eye, but it's part of the game. I’m going back,” Dan said in the video.

Against Poirier, Hooker had the opportunity to get even closer to the elite of the group led by Khabib Nurmagomedov. Now, the New Zealander awaits his next appointment to try to win again and dream of a title shot.
