In the clash between veterans, Bobby Green got the better of Clay guida. In a confrontation that marked the last fight of the preliminary card, held this Saturday (20), by UFC Las Vegas 3, Green managed to defend himself from his rival's takedown attempts and won the unanimous decision of the judges.

Bobby took to the octagon with the intention of erasing a negative sequence of two setbacks. The American hasn't won since January 2018, when he beat Erik Koch. The athlete was coming off a defeat to Francisco Massaranduba No. UFC Sao Paulo, held in November last year.
Despite the usual intense movement, Clay ended up suffering his second consecutive defeat. The athlete ended up being unsuccessful in his takedowns and was the victim of attacks from his opponent, who hit the veteran in the face with jabs and straight shots.
The fight
The fight began with the athletes studying each other in the center of the Octagon. Green let his guard down and started provoking Guida right from the start. Clay tried a sequence of punches and looked for Bobby's legs, who went to the ground, but then got up. The duel remained busy with the athletes exchanging blows in the center of the Octagon. Near the final minute, Guida managed to take another takedown on his rival, who again managed to stay on his feet. In the second stage, Guida continued to seek to take the confrontation to the ground. Bobby, however, kept an eye on takedown defenses and focused on striking. Bobby let his guard down again and tried to lure Guida into his zone of action. Clay took down his rival again, but Green got up. Bobby remained more effective in the stand-up fight and connected good jabs and straight shots on the veteran. In the final seconds, the athletes started to exchange franks, but there was no more time.
In the last round, Clay tried to score and tried to take down his opponent. Green fell again, but, like previous times, managed to get back on his feet. Halfway through the stage, Bobby landed a good punch while his opponent tried to get to his legs. The veteran did not attack the blow and continued clinging to his opponent's legs. In the final minute, the athletes continued to fight, but without much action. The confrontation remained cold until its end.

In the struggle of the desperate, Marc-Andre Barriault did better in the match against Oskar Piechota. Coming from three consecutive defeats, the Canadian took no notice of his rival and delivered a tough knockout in the second round, achieving his first victory since his debut in Ultimate.
Like Marc, Oskar also needed to win in the organization to avoid the risk of dismissal. With the new negative result, the Pole now has four consecutive defeats and could be released by the company.
Barriault now has 12 wins as a professional in MMA. The athlete was beaten in four commitments.

Last-minute replacement Matt frevola, Justin jaynes he was not intimidated by Frank Camacho. In his UFC debut, the North American needed just 41 seconds to deliver a great knockout over his opponent and reached the fifth consecutive victory in his career.
In addition to failing to make the weight cut last Friday afternoon (19), Camacho ended up suffering his second consecutive defeat for the organization.
Justin now has 16 wins as a professional in MMA. The athlete lost on four occasions.

Former Invicta FC champion, Lauren Murphy won his second consecutive victory for the UFC. After a balanced first round against Roxanne Modafferi, the American dominated her compatriot in the final rounds and won the unanimous decision of the judges.
The confrontation between the North Americans marked the dispute between two fighters who aimed to get closer to the top 5 in flyweights (up to 56,7kg.). With the positive result, Murphy must now overtake Roxanne, who was in sixth place in the group dominated by Valentina Shevchenko.
The setback marked the 17th defeat in the fight for the experienced Modafferi. Professional in MMA since 2003, the fighter had a great victory over the promising Maycee barber, in January of this year.
