Erick Silva faces Jon Fitch at UFC Rio 3

At a great moment in his career, the Espírito Santo Erick silva will have the biggest challenge of his career in the organization. The Brazilian faces the tough Jon Fitch at UFC 153, also called UFC Rio 3, an event that takes place on October 13th, at the HSBC Arena, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

Erick, who has a record of 14 wins and two losses, is having a good time in the organization. The Brazilian, who played in the first two editions of UFC Rio, is coming off a triumph in his last fight, when he submitted Charlie Brenneman at UFC on FX 3, held in June. A victory against Jon would put the Brazilian athlete very close to competing for the category title.

For his part, Fitch, who has a professional record of 23 wins, one draw and four losses, was considered number two in the welterweight division for years. Now, the North American is trying to get back on track to compete for the category's belt, as he is coming off a setback in his last fight, when he was knocked out by John hendricks at UFC 141, in December 2011.
