All right for the 'UFC Smith x Teixeira', an event that takes place this Wednesday (13), in Jacksonville (USA). At the attraction's official weigh-in, held in the early afternoon, 21 of the 22 athletes scheduled for the show made weight and confirmed their duels. Protagonist of the main fight of the show, the Brazilian Glover Teixeira he weighed exactly 93.1 kg, the limit for the light heavyweight category. On the other hand, your rival, Anthony Smith weighed 93.4 kg, using the pound – approximately 454 grams – tolerance for clashes that are not valid for belts.
Among those cast for the attraction, only the average weight (up to 83.9 kg.) Karl Robertson did not make the weight for its category. He weighed 85 kg. and was fined, but the fight against Italian Marvin vettori was confirmed on the main card.
Besides Glover Teixeira, the other Brazilians cast for the show had no problems with the scales. The newcomer of the night, the heavyweight Philip Lins weighed 107.1 kg against 108 kg of the rival Andrei Arlovski. Already James Moses weighed 70.5 kg and needed to use the tolerance to confirm the lightweight division weight (up to 70.3 kg.). The same did his rival, Michael Johnson.
