Ultimate's president, Dana White, promised and will deliver. Contrary to the suspension of MMA events due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the 'big boss' had informed that his company would be the first (among the big ones) to resume activities. With events scheduled for May 9, 13 and 16, the president justified his decision to return to work.

“At some point, we have to figure out how to get everything back to normal, but always do it in a safe way. The only way to find out is to go there and do it”, said the 'boss', in an interview with 'Yahoo Sports'.
White, however, said his plans will not be easy. The president assured that a large task force is being put together to hold the next UFC shows, which focuses on maintaining the integrity of its athletes and employees who will participate in the shows.
“We are going to spend a lot of money. It won't be cheap. We care about everyone's health and safety. The fighters, the commission, the referees, my team that will be there. It's tough, but someone has to take the first step and get there. We cannot stay in our homes until December”, he concluded.
Earlier this month, White, who tried to keep the card that would take place on April 18, ended up giving in and canceling the show. However, Dana assured that his team would continue working to find alternatives to return to fighting. About two weeks later, the company confirmed three cards in May, in Florida.
