If what was needed was a small push for the UFC to resume its plans to return to its activities, the company gained a strong ally in the dispute to hold cards during the time of social isolation due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The President of the United States, Donald Trump, in a statement made last Tuesday (14), stated that the country's major sporting organizations must return to their regular calendar.

Trump's list included sports such as the NBA (National Basketball Association), MLB (Major League Baseball), NFL (National Football League) and, of course, the UFC.
“We need to get our sports back. I’m tired of watching baseball games from 14 years ago,” Donald said.
According to the head of state, the return of sports entities will be of utmost importance for the country's economy in times of one of the biggest health crises in human history. Trump's speech, then, goes against the thoughts of Dana White, who, in recent weeks, has worked tirelessly to maintain his calendar without preventive measures prohibiting him from promoting shows.
The news comes almost a week after the Ultimate boss confirmed the suspension of his company's activities. After the US president's statement, White must return to devising strategies to return to active duty as quickly as possible.
Also on Tuesday, 'MMA Fighgint' reported that the company is considering returning on May 9, with three title fights. The location, however, is not defined.
