The top seems to be the limit for Charles of the Bronx. After winning and convincing in his fight against Kevin Lee in the main fight of UFC Brasilia, which took place this Saturday (14), in the federal capital, the Brazilian, finally, should reach the top 10 in the lightweight category (up to 70,3kg.). At a great stage in his career, the São Paulo native stated that he intends to face top 5 athletes in his next commitments and envisages a title fight soon. In a press interview after the show, Charles spoke about the plans.

“I'll fight whoever they put in front of me, but I deserve to be in the top 10. I deserve to face a top 5 fighter or the winner of Kabib (Nurmagomedov) and (Tony) Ferguson,” said the Brazilian.

Charles is fully aware of the great phase he is going through in his career as a UFC professional. With the triumph over Lee, the São Paulo native reached the mark of seven consecutive victories and has not known what it's like to lose since December 2017, when he was knocked out by Paul felder. The victory over Kevin, then, served to crown and confirm the good moment experienced by the athlete, who stated that he had taken a big step in his career this weekend.
