The fight

Gabriel took the initiative in the fight by delivering a right cross, but Kyler responded with a dangerous high kick, which exploded in the Brazilian's guard. The Espírito Santo player tried to close the distance, but the North American showed danger on the counterattack. Two minutes later, Silva feinted a straight shot and looked for a takedown, pressing his opponent against the fence. Phillips managed to defend himself and moved away, throwing a round kick at the Brazilian's waistline. The American threw a flying knee, which hit the Brazilian. The fighters continued their exchanges with Kyler taking advantage. Phillips was not aware of the Espírito Santo and connected a good sequence of punches that rocked Silva. Gabriel showed resistance, but continued to be punished by the North American. In the final seconds, Silva managed a good takedown, but there was no more time.

In the second round, the American continued to connect good sequences of punches, but Gabriel continued to walk upwards, trying to close the distance. The Brazilian managed to get to his rival's back and tried to attempt a takedown, but Kyler continued to defend himself. The fight went to the ground, but Phillips managed to get up and reverse the position. In another twist, Silva once again took down his opponent, fell on top and continued trying for a submission. The athletes started to compete using jiu-jitsu. With an advantage, Kyler managed to spin and tried to finish the Espírito Santo. Kyler hit the Brazilian from below, but Gabriel continued trying to finish. In the final seconds, Silva tried a heel hook, but the round ended.
