Tito Ortiz announced as new member of the UFC Hall of Fame

With a career full of good fights, victories and some controversies, the American Tito Ortiz is the new member of the UFC Hall of Fame. The former light heavyweight champion fought in the organization for 15 years and said goodbye after completing the trilogy against Forrest griffin at UFC 148, an event that takes place on July 7, in Las Vegas.

Ortiz entered the UFC Octagon on 25 occasions. The first of them was at UFC 13, on May 30, 1997, against Wes Albritton, when he won by technical knockout at 31 seconds. Since then there have been 15 wins and ten defeats, as well as a draw. The fighter was light heavyweight champion and holds the record for title defenses in the category, with five victories after winning the belt.
