José Aldo regrets injury that took him out of UFC 149.

Saddened by the cancellation of the fight, Aldo used his Twitter account to thank and vent about the injury.

“I want to tell everyone that I am very sad about the injury and thank you for all the messages of affection I am receiving. I really wanted to fight, but it's not possible. My injury is grade 2 on the back of my thigh and if I train, I run the risk of tearing the muscle. So let's try to get back to 100%! We are all ready for this. Impact sport is like that, but life goes on. Let’s go to the physio”, wrote the champion, on the microblog.

As the Brazilian's injury is not that serious, Erik Koch will wait for Aldo's recovery to face him in another event that has not yet been defined. José Aldo must return to training in 20 days.
