Next Saturday (25th) will be a very important date for Chris Cyborg. In addition to marking her debut for the new company, the fighter will have her first title fight, when she faces julia budd at Bellator 238, for the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg.). Out of the UFC after failing to agree on the conditions for contract renewal, in addition to personal problems with Dana White, the Curitiba native praised the new moment in her career and, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie', spoke about her expectations for the future.

“I feel young, motivated. I'm happy for a new chapter in my career. I feel in my heart that this loss (of relationship with Dana White) was a gift from God. Because if that didn't happen, I wouldn't be here right now. And now I'm very happy for this new chapter. I’m so happy at Bellator”, declared Cris.
The fighter also commented on the expectation of, right on her debut, playing for the organization's title. The athlete, this weekend, will try to end Budd's hegemony, which has lasted more than two years.
“I think the belt means a lot to me and I'll just be happy to have it around me. For me, using this organization to share my faith, touch people's hearts and do what I love to do. This belt is important to touch people's hearts. I will hold their hand for a long time”, he concluded.
This Saturday, Cyborg will make his 25th appearance as a professional in MMA. The Brazilian has 21 wins, two losses and one fight without result.
Against the native of Curitiba, Budd reaches the mark of 15 fights in mixed martial arts. The Canadian, who has not lost since 2011, has 13 triumphs and only two setbacks.
