Brazil closed 2019 in style at UFC Busan. In the last edition of the season, held in the early hours of Saturday (21), in South Korea, the three Brazilian athletes in action left the attraction with their arms raised: Alexandre pantoja knocked out Matt schnell, Raoni barcelos hit Said Nurmagomedov e Amanda lemos finished Miranda granger.

Last Brazilian to enter the Octagon in 2019, Alexandre pantoja closed the year in style. The fluminense, 4th in the flyweight ranking, was not aware of Matt schnell, 9th in the rankings, and knocked out the North American in the first round in brutal fashion.
The fight between Pantoja and Schnell started with an insane exchange of punches. The Brazilian landed the best blows, but the North American withstood the punishment and continued in the dispute.
The fighters studied each other again and Schnell made the Brazilian bend his knee. However, the answer came later. The North American tried to grow in the fight and walked forward throwing punches, but Alexandre connected directly and took his rival to the canvas.
With the result, Pantoja can close the season as top 3 in the flyweight division. Still in the Octagon, he revealed his desire to face the winner of Deiveson Figueiredo x Joseph Benavidez, who will duel in February for the vacant category title.

In the most disputed duel on the preliminary card, the Brazilian Raoni barcelos defeated the Russian Said Nurmagomedov, Cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov, champion of the lightweight category.
In the first round, Raoni tried to move forward and strike, but Said was too fast. Even though he was retreating, the Russian threw good round blows, which left the Brazilian afraid. He still connected good shots.
The story of the fight began to change on the second subject. Raoni managed to find the distance and land the best shots while standing. Furthermore, he managed to take down his rival and keep Said on his back on the ground at the end of the round.
With the fight completely balanced, the third round would be responsible for defining the score. And Raoni was the one who did best. He managed to knock Said down and advanced towards the Russian's back. Despite not being able to finish, he dominated his rival on the ground and secured victory in the judges' decision.
Amanda Lemos erases rival and scores 1st UFC victory
Amanda lemos got his first victory in the UFC. After debuting in the Octagon with a setback to Leslie Smith, the Pará native overcame the favoritism of Miranda granger submitted her rival with a rear naked choke in the first round.
In the fight, the Brazilian landed good blows in the standing fight and surprised Granger by taking the duel to the ground. The American still tried to surprise by attacking on the ground with her back, but Amanda went to her back and got the choke. As Miranda didn't give up, she ended up deleting it.
