The fight

Kron started the duel trying to close the distance, but Swanson moved intelligently, landing a good cross while moving backwards. The Brazilian continued to control the octagon, but without effectiveness. Cub then started to strike more, punishing his rival's waistline with powerful kicks and hooks. Quite superior in striking, Swanson ended the round landing strong blows on Kron, who showed good absorption.

The second stage started in the same way as the first ended: Kron moving forward and Swanson connecting strong blows against each other. The Brazilian managed to press on the fence and tried to take him down, but was unsuccessful. Aware of the great disadvantage on his feet, Gracie pulled guard, without success. Visibly tired, the two fighters began to engage in frank exchanges in the center of the octagon, with a small advantage for the American.

In the duel between two promises of the women's strawweight division (up to 52,6kg), the Minas Gerais native Amanda ribas got the better of Mackenzie dern, who returned to the Octagon just four months after giving birth to her first daughter. With a dominant performance from start to finish, Amanda triumphed in the judges' unanimous decision (triple 30×27), scoring her second victory in two fights in the organization, while Dern, who was born in the United States and the daughter of a Brazilian father, lost her undefeated in MMA after seven victories, two of which in Ultimate.

The fight

The two began exchanging blows in the center of the octagon, with the advantage going to Amanda, who connected two good blows to her rival's face. Dern returned to the second stage looking for a fall, but was again unsuccessful. More agile on his feet, Ribas continued to land the best blows on his rival, who tried to respond with right overhands. Unable to impose his game on the ground, Mackenzie went for a sacrifice takedown and ended up on bottom. Ribas, however, chose to get up and, standing, shook Dern in the final seconds.

Aware of the disadvantage in the early rounds, Mackenzie returned more aggressively for the final stage, but was unable to find Ribas in the cage, who continued to get the better of her standing, connecting blows that shook her opponent.

Niko Price erases James Vick with brutal ride
