Some Brazilians don't have many reasons to smile after the UFC Minneapolis, held this Saturday (29), in the United States. Of the seven athletes who performed, only three emerged victorious in the event. Three opponents of the four defeated will leave Minneapolis with a full wallet. Francis Ngannou, Joseph Benavidez and Eryck Anders received the night's performance bonus and will receive US$50 (around R$190) each. The fourth awarded athlete was Alonzo Menifield. In this edition, the Ultimate board chose not to award the 'Fight of the Night'.

Francis Ngannou received the jackpot after securing a devastating victory over the Brazilian Junior Gypsy in the duel that represented the main fight of the night. On that occasion, the French-Cameroonian needed just over a minute to confirm his superiority against the Santa Catarina native and promote to the public a brilliant knockout among the heavyweights (up to 120,2kg).

The executioner of Jussier formiga, Joseph Benevidez, once again defeated the Brazilian, whom he had beaten in 2013, in Belo Horizonte in a fight that, possibly, would put the winner in a position to challenge Henry Cejudo in the fight for the belt in the flyweight category (up to 56,7kg.). After a balanced first round, the athlete from Natal (RN) succumbed to the hard blows from the North American and ended up defeated by knockout in the second round.

Erik Anders It was another fighter who earned the bonus at the expense of a Tupiniquim athlete. The North American filled his wallet after beating Vinícius Mamute in the penultimate fight of the preliminary card. On that occasion, the athlete had a quick duel and knocked out the Brazilian at 1m18s of the first round.
