The feared UFC boat haunted the franchise's athletes once again. This weekend, four athletes were dismissed for the event. Among them, Brazilians Wilson reis, flyweight, and Marcelo Golm, heavyweight. In addition to them, Canadian Elias Theodorou and North American Eric Shelton are also no longer part of Ultimate.

the miner WIlson Reis, 34 years old, was in the top 15 of the flyweight rankings, but had lost four in his last five fights. In his last performance, he lost to his compatriot Alexandre pantoja, in April.
In turn, Marcelo Golm arrived at the UFC undefeated with six wins. But the heavyweight from São Paulo didn't get into the franchise and lost the three fights he had in the Octagon. In his last fight, he lost to Sergei Pavlovich, at UFC St Petersburg, in April.
Eric Shelton is another case of a flyweight released by the company, which reinforces the UFC's desire to end the division. The North American occupied 10th place in the ranking and was coming from behind to Jordan Espinosa.
Elias Theodorou's dismissal is surprising. The Canadian was in the top 15 in the middleweight division and had won three of his last four fights. In his last fight, the 'Spartan', as he is known, had been overcome by Derek Brunson, ninth in the classification.
