A fighter's debut in a given organization is unforgettable, but it can be marked by good or bad memories. For Alan Carlos, however, the duel against Charles Ward did not end well. In a preliminary fight at Bellator 281, which takes place this Friday (13), the Brazilian suffered elbows in the Irishman's grappling fight and lost a unanimous decision from the judges.

The fight
Alan Carlos started the duel willing to make use of the difference in wingspan, but saw Charles Ward reduce the distance and land a good straight shot close to the cage. The Brazilian, in turn, managed to recover and bet on low kicks. In the final stretch, the Bahian managed a good counterattack that shook the Irishman, but was unable to settle the score.
Ward followed the intense pace of approach, took another blow at short range, but 'stuck' Carlos to the fence to get the takedown. With elbows, the Irishman opened a cut on the Brazilian's eyebrow, which bled profusely.
If it worked, Charles repeats it. The Irishman followed his strategy in the grappling game, fell in the first minute and continued 'crushing' the Brazilian on top until the end of the fight.
