Edson Barboza 'forgets' defeat to Giga Chikadze and asks UFC for new commitment

Beaten at UFC Las Vegas 35, Brazilian seeks recovery and says he is 'ready for the next war'

Just over a week after the tough defeat to Giga Chikadze, UFC Las Vegas 35, Edson Barboza He doesn't want to rest. With an eye on recovery, the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) has put the setback behind him and is already eyeing the next duel. On his social networks, the Friborg native asked Ultimate for a new fight.

“I can’t wait for the next war. I’m ready for the next battle”, wrote the Brazilian, in his account on Instagram.

In a new phase of his career, Barboza ended up postponing his dream of getting closer to a title fight in the fight against Giga. In the confrontation, the Tupiniquim ended up not repeating good performances with the company's gloves and ended up succumbing with a knockout in the third round.

With the stumble, Edson lost a position in the group. Now, the combatant is the 10th in the category led by Alexander Volkanovsky.
