Even with the Dutch fighter caught with a high testosterone level in the surprise anti-doping test, carried out on the 27th, the UFC filed a license request with the Nevada Athletic Commission, the entity responsible for sanctioning the event, so that alistair overeem be in fighting condition.
According to Keith Kiser, executive director of the Commission, the license request will be defined on April 24, when Alistair will have to explain why a high level of testosterone was found in his exam.
If the license request is denied, fighters like Fabricio Werdum, Mark Hunt e Dan Henderson are speculated to challenge Cigano for the UFC heavyweight belt.

What a beautiful example for the sport, a DOPED guy having the opportunity to fight for the belt.
If Dana White goes ahead with this nonsense, I will cancel my subscription to Canal Combate. This will ruin the sport as it has done to countless others. Worse, Dana will be known as a scoundrel who succumbed to sponsors' dollars... For much less, we saw Cielo and others do a lot of tricks. Ridiculous! Cigano has to REFUSE this fight, as this is putting 2 opponents on unequal conditions.
This guy doesn't stand a chance against Cigano.
