UFC champion takes advantage of injury to dedicate himself to card games

Away from the Octagon since April 2011 due to a serious knee injury, the Canadian Georges St Pierre Take advantage of the time outside of combat to dedicate yourself to another type of competition. The UFC welterweight champion confirmed his presence at the World Series of poker, the World Championship of the category.

“I've wanted to play poker for a long time, as it's a game of skill. It's not just your cards against mine. It’s you against your opponent,” said GSP at a press conference.

St. Pierre signed a contract with a poker company to play in parts of the World Series. The money raised by the player will be donated to an institution supported by the fighter
