Lightweight Luan Miau will have his second opportunity to become Brave champion. The CM System athlete was a few seconds away from victory in Brave 11, against lucas mineiro, but suffered an injury at the end of the fight and ended up losing the duel with his personal friend. On April 19th, Miau will face current champion Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, at Brave 23, which will be held in Amman, Jordan.

Even fighting at his opponent's home ground, Luan remains confident of victory and of being able to avenge Mineiro, who ended up being defeated by Al-Selwady at the end of last year. Miau believes he will only need one round to settle the bill against his rival.

“Four minutes is all the time I’ll need to beat him. I'm going to knock him out quickly and bring this belt to Brazil. I don't think it's dangerous. He only beat Lucas because Lucas was already injured. I was there the week of the fight and saw Mineiro injured. We studied Al-Selwady's game a lot and he looks like a dizzy cockroach, he just moves (laughs). I can beat him standing up and on the ground”, declared the Brazilian, in an interview with Canal Diretasso.

Between his defeat to Mineiro and the scheduled fight with Al-Selwady, Miau made his international debut, beating Dutchman Djamil Chan at Brave 18, held in November last year, in Bahrain. For him, the experience of fighting outside Brazil for the first time will be fundamental for him to be able to seek victory at the champion's home ground.

“I've fought in Brazil my whole life, so I was nervous for Brave 18. It's a different culture, with a different audience, everything is different. But I stepped into the cage and everything went fine, I wasn't affected. I'm sure it will be the same thing in Jordan. Now I’m going to face the owner of the house, so I’m going to hit him harder”, added the challenger.

Brave 23: Pride and Honor marks Brave Combat Federation's second time in Jordan. In addition to Al-Selwady x Luan “Miau”, the event will also feature two other title fights: welterweight champion Jarrah Al-Selawe defends his belt against Abdoul Abdouraguimov in the night's main attraction; and Eldar Eldarov faces Mounir Lazzez for the inaugural title of the newly created super lightweight category.
