Rogério Minotouro, declared his desire to have a third fight against the former light heavyweight champion, Mauritius Shogun. The announcement took place last Thursday (28), at the press conference of UFC 237, in Rio de Janeiro. Rogério's biggest motivation is the fact that he doesn't agree with the result of the last battle, at UFC 190, which ended with Shogun winning by points in a unanimous decision.

“I would still really like to fight against Mauritius Shogun. I don't agree with the result of the last fight. I would like to fight him again before I end my career,” said Minotouro.

The veterans have already faced each other twice. In the first clash, for many one of the best fights in the history of MMA, it took place at the now-defunct Pride, in 2005, where Shogun also won on points. Close to following in his brother's footsteps, the former UFC heavyweight champion, Rodrigo Minotauro, Rogério suggested a possible third clash against Maurício.

Both fighters went through unstable times in the organization. Both Shogun and Rogério lost five of their last 10 fights in the UFC. However, both come from victories in the company.
