Dana White is impressed by Pettis' knockout of Thompson

'He did what Tyron Woodley couldn't do on two occasions,' said the UFC boss.

UFC President Dana White didn't hide his enthusiasm after UFC's performance. Anthony Pettis No. UFC Nashville, which took place last Saturday (23). Pettis impressively knocked out Thompson in the second round and drew praise from the president.

Asked what the next steps for 'Showtime' will be, Dana didn't hold back his praise, saying that, after his performance on Saturday, any fight would make sense.

“Listen, I’d consider any fight for him after what he did tonight,” he said. "Very impressive. An impressive strategy. He came and carried out the plan. 'Wonderboy' (Thompson) was killing him in the first round and the second. He held on and stuck to his strategy – I don’t know – but he was incredible tonight,” Dana White told ESPN+ in the US after the fight.

Anthony still doesn't know if he will remain in the welterweight division for good. While a decision has not been made, some names have been put forward as possible opponents, among them are conor mcgregor and a possible rematch against the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos, who beat the North American in 2015, winning the UFC Lightweight belt.
