UFC announces Michael Bisping as new member of the 'Hall of Fame'

Former middleweight champion was included in the Ultimate gallery of immortals during UFC London

The English fans suffered UFC London, last Saturday (16), with the defeat of Darren till. However, the audience that filled the O2 Arena received a boost during the show. Ultimate announced that Michael Bisping He will be the first Briton included in the event's Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made before the main fight with Bisping in the audience. The fighter was taken by surprise and did not hide his emotion. He literally cheered as soon as the arena's speakers announced him as Ultimate's new immortal.

Michael Bisping's career

Michael Bisping, 40 years old, has built a career of 30 wins and nine losses in MMA. He started his career fighting in English events and was light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg.) of the now defunct Cage Rage.

In 2006, Bisping joined The Ultimate Fighter 3 (TUF 3), the Ultimate reality show. He was champion of the program and secured a contract with the UFC as a heavyweight. However, it was at middleweight (up to 84) that Bisping reached the peak of his career.

At UFC 199, in June 2016, in one of the biggest upsets in modern history, the 'Conde', as he is known, knocked out Luke Rockhold and won the UFC belt. He even defended his title once, against Dan Henderson. At UFC 204, he avenged a tough defeat he had suffered against Hendo and defended his title in front of the English fans.
