UFC Phoenix's list of medical suspensions was released by the Arizona Gaming Department on Wednesday (20). Cain Velazquez received a 180-day medical suspension after being knocked out 26 seconds into the main fight of the event held last Sunday. To be released ahead of schedule, the former heavyweight champion needs to be cleared by a doctor.

Nine other fighters took the six-month hook: Cynthia calvillo, Cortney Casey, Vincent Luque, Brian Barberena, Jimmie rivera, Luke sanders, Nik lentz and Ashlee Evans-Smith. All athletes must present certificates to be released to return to fight before the period of suspension.

The fighter was taken to the hospital shortly after the fight and remains hospitalized. For this reason, the lightweight took a medical hook for an indefinite period of time.
