“You can't deny that it's very important, it's going to get me very close to a title fight. I try to exclude this, not let it enter my mind, for me it is an important fight like all others, I want to arrive, do my job and win”, said Marreta.

Thinking about the duel in Prague, Thiago believes that Blachowicz will try to take the fight to the ground, where his weak point is theoretically. However, the Rio native guaranteed that his rival will suffer from his blows until he 'gives up, the knockout happens or the referee interrupts'.

“He'll trade with me, but at a certain point he'll try to take it to the ground, where theoretically he thinks he has an advantage. I'm punishing my opponents, I'm not in a rush to knock them out. If he gets knocked out, that's fine, otherwise he'll be beaten until the end of the fight. He has to be ready to feel pain, I like to make them pay until they give up, the knockout happens or the referee stops it”, concluded Thiago.

Marreta is going through a great phase in Ultimate with three consecutive victories. In his last fight, he knocked out Jimi Manuwa in the second round at UFC 231 in December 2018. On the other hand, Blachowicz has four consecutive victories, the last being a submission against Nikita Krylov No. UFC Moscow in September last year.
